MY STORIES
A week ago, I welcomed a stray dog into my life. Now she's a cherished member of our family, receiving the same love, food, treats, and multivitamins as my other dog. To make her feel at home, I've set aside a separate bowl for her food and cold water. Small acts of kindness can make a world of difference. #1000StoriesOfKindness
Today, I noticed construction workers and their young children braving the intense heat near my house. I brought cold water for the laborers and munchies for the kids. The children in exchange offered me their toys to play with, and some droped figs for me and my dog, Timmy. Small acts of kindness can make a world of difference.
Two to three days ago, our government hospital admitted two women urgently needing O+ve and O-ve blood. Local NGOs couldn't find donors, so my friends and I took action. We searched nearby areas and villages for hours until we found matching donors. We brought them to the hospital, helped with the paperwork, and ensured they were comfortable. The donations saved two lives, showcasing the power of determination and community spirit. This rewarding experience reinforced the importance of coming together to help those in need. Small acts of kindness can make a world of difference.
The Sunday Surprise This Sunday, two workers came to my house to fix some minor tile work. As they arrived, I welcomed them with a cold glass of water and explained the tasks at hand. I asked if they had brought their tiffin, to which they replied, "Bhaiya, itne se kaam ke liye tiffin kahan laayege hum." Understanding their situation, I asked them to start their work while I planned a surprise. As they worked diligently, I decided to treat them to a good meal. When the meal got prepared, I asked them to take a break and then surprised them with a delicious lunch. Their faces lit up with joy, and they thanked me wholeheartedly. It was a simple gesture, yet it brought so much happiness. It reminded me of the saying, "A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money." This experience reaffirmed that simple acts can create significant joy.
When Kindness Calls: A Gym Session Turned Rescue Mission Last night, while I was at the gym around 8:30 PM, my veterinary doctor called me. He asked where I was and then narrated a distressing incident. A 2-3 year old cow had fallen off the road and sustained a serious injury to her right front leg. They had operated on her in time, but now he needed my help to transport the cow to a gaushala (cow shelter) from the veterinary hospital, as he had to leave for home. He requested that I bring 4-5 people from gym since the cow couldn't walk and needed to be lifted with a blanket and moved to a car, then shifted to the gaushala. Without hesitation, I gathered some people and left for the hospital. On the way, we arranged a Bolero camper car for the transport. We carefully lifted the cow, placed her in the car, and drove to the gaushala. There, we placed her in a separate room where she could rest and recover. The cow was very frightened after the operation, so we sat next to her for a while to make her comfortable. We fed her and provided water to drink. The doctor called me an hour later to thank me for all the effort my friends and I showed in taking care of the cow. It was a reminder that, "The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention." This experience highlighted the importance of taking immediate action to help those in need.
The Balloon Boy Yesterday, on my way back from the gym, I took a halt in the market for my post-workout diet. A boy carrying balloons approached me near my car and asked me to buy some balloons from him, mentioning that he hadn't sold a good number that day. I bought one from him, and he smiled and thanked me. Then he was standing at a good distance from my car, I noticed him staring at a stall. Seeing him looking there, I asked, "Bhai idher aana, kuch khaoo gai ya piyoo gai ap?" He smiled and said, "Bhaiya, badam shake piina tha." I asked the shopkeeper to give him one. The shopkeeper started making it in a small glass, but I saw the boy staring at the larger glass sizes. Noticing this, I asked the shopkeeper to give him the biggest glass he had and to add extra ice cream for him. The boy was so happy and thanked me sincerely. It reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world." This simple gesture brought him immense joy and made me realize the power of small acts of kindness.
Streamlining Blood Donation Records: A Kindness Initiative Last week, when I took some people to the hospital for blood donation, I noticed a significant issue: the hospital didn't maintain a proper way to keep records of donors during emergencies. On Monday, while I was roaming in the market, I met Doctor Padam, who manages the blood bank of Rampur. During our conversation, I shared my observations with him. He acknowledged the problem, explaining that due to staff shortages and frequent transfers, they struggled to maintain proper records. I suggested an idea to help them: create an Excel file to easily access and update the list of blood donors from anywhere, especially during blood donation camps. However, Doctor Padam mentioned they didn't have anyone to create it, and hiring cyber services would be expensive. I offered to take on the task myself and asked him for the details of the donors. He provided me with 30% of the donor data, and I created a list of 250+ donors, sharing a sample with him. He was so happy with my work that he asked me to continue this project. He promised to provide more data and requested me to join all blood camps to make the data more accurate and beneficial for every patient in need. This brought to mind the saying, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." This experience reaffirmed the power of taking initiative and practicing kindness to solve problems for the greater good.
A Small Act of Kindness on the Way Home Today, on my way back home, I booked a Rapido bike. During our ride, the driver stopped at a petrol pump. I thought he was going to fill up petrol, but instead, he went to a water cooler for a drink of cold water. I asked him why he didn't carry a water bottle, as it was too hot outside and he could easily refill it throughout the day. He mentioned that he had forgotten his bottle today and couldn't keep buying cold water repeatedly. When we reached near my house, I asked him to drop me near a supermarket and to wait for a minute. I went inside and bought a cold water bottle for him. He was so happy when I gave him the bottle and said, "Bhaiya, thank you, but this wasn't necessary." After paying for the trip, I also gave him a tip. This simple interaction reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give." It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference in his day and filled me with joy.
Helping a Stray Dog Heal Yesterday, I saw a dog in poor condition, with most of his body hair lost. Concerned, I talked to a veterinary doctor who prescribed some medicine for him. Today, I bought the medicine and started administering it to the dog daily. To help him recover faster and become healthy soon, I also asked the gym kitchen owner to provide some boiled egg yolks and chicken bones and skin to feed him. Additionally, I plan to give two boiled eggs from my diet to him. Starting this journey to improve the dog's health reminded me of the saying, "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated." This act of kindness is a step towards making a difference in the life of this dog, showing that simple efforts can lead to healing and hope.
When Friends Need Help: A 4 AM Drive Today, I received a call from my friend Avneet around 4:00 AM. She had booked a bus to Amritsar and was staying on Landra Road. The bus stop was 30 minutes away from her place, and she couldn't find a cab. She asked if I could help by sending a friend, as she was alone. Knowing that no one would be available at that hour, I took my car and rushed to her location. I picked her up and made sure she reached the bus stop on time. Seeing her relieved and thankful brought a smile to my face. It reminded me of the saying, "Good friends are like stars; you don't always see them, but you know they're always there." This little adventure showed how acts of kindness and friendship go hand in hand, especially when it matters the most.
Early Morning Accident Aid After dropping Avneet off, I was driving through a roundabout in Mohali when I witnessed a severe accident. A taxi hit a white car so badly that half of its body got damaged right in front of my eyes. I immediately pulled over to the left and rushed to see if everyone in the car was okay. There were four college students in the car who had sustained minor cuts and bruises. In the taxi, there was an old lady traveling to the airport. I took out the medical kit from my car and provided bandages, essentials, and water to them. Since it was 5:45 in the morning, there were very few people on the road to help. We then assisted the old lady in booking another cab and transferred her luggage to it. After ensuring she was safely on her way, we called the police to report the accident, as it was the taxi driver’s fault. After making sure everyone was okay, I left for home. This incident reminded me of the saying, "We rise by lifting others." Acts of kindness, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in people's lives, especially during unexpected events like this.
A Kind Ride Home Yesterday, I was traveling back from Chandigarh to Rampur, a journey of about 250 KM that takes around 9 to 10 hours. Since I was traveling alone, I decided to upload my ride on the BLAH BLAH app, offering the trip for ₹630. I received three ride requests and accepted them. During the trip, we had a lot of conversations and fun. We reached Rampur around 10 PM. Given the late hour, I made sure to drop everyone off at their doorstep. Despite the posted fare, I didn't charge them a penny. This experience reminded me of the quote, "Kindness is free, sprinkle that stuff everywhere." By offering a free ride and ensuring everyone got home safely, I was able to make our long journey a little brighter for all of us.
A Subway Surprise One day, my gym partner mentioned that he had been craving Subway for a long time but couldn't make the trip to Chandigarh due to his work commitments. Yesterday, while returning from Chandigarh, I stopped in Solan and ordered a Subway sandwich, a wrap, and two cookies for him. This morning, after our workout, I told him I had a surprise and handed him the parcel. He was so happy and grateful for the thoughtful gesture. It brought to mind the saying, "Happiness is homemade." Sometimes, the simplest acts of kindness can bring the most joy, especially when we take the time to fulfill someone's wish.
A Breath of Fresh Air for Cloud Kitchen Near our gym, there's a small shop called Cloud Kitchen. The owner recently faced some losses in his business. He runs a cozy café, providing drinks and food items to gym-goers. The space is limited, with only 5-6 seats available at a time. The room has a partition, and below that partition is his kitchen. Whenever he shallow fries or cooks, all the smoke travels into the seating area, causing discomfort for both him and his customers. One day, I suggested that he cut a window glass and install an exhaust fan to vent out the smoke. However, he told me he couldn't afford it at the moment, as all his earnings were going towards restocking his shop. Today, I decided to surprise him by gifting him an exhaust fan. We even installed it for him. The relief and happiness on his face were priceless. This reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows." By helping him improve his café, I hoped to bring a little sunshine into his life and support his business in a meaningful way.
A Rainy Day Ride Today, I was going to the market to buy some groceries when it suddenly started raining. Luckily, I was in my car. On the way, I saw two people standing under a tree, trying to stay dry. I stopped the car and asked them where they were heading and offered to drop them off. They were so happy to hear this and gladly accepted the ride. This reminded me of the saying, "A little spark of kindness can put a colossal burst of sunshine into someone’s day." Offering them a ride in the rain was a small act, but it brought warmth and relief to their day.
Helping Hands at Hanuman Mandir Today is Tuesday, so after the gym, I went to Hanuman Mandir as I do every Tuesday. Today was Jetha Tuesday, a special day of the month when the temple committee makes halwa to distribute to people who pass by the temple and to those who come to pray. When I reached the mandir in the morning, I saw the temple committee members preparing for the distribution. After finishing my prayers, I joined them to help with the preparations. We worked together, cooking and serving halwa to everyone who came by. This reminded me of the saying, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Helping out at the mandir was a small act of kindness that made the day brighter for everyone involved.
Painting Together: Transforming our Gym with Kindness Yesterday, my gym owner decided to add some cool graffiti to the gym walls. He called in an artist, and while we were working out, the artist started his work. After some time, the artist received an emergency call from home and had to leave, asking the gym owner for a 40-50 minute break. Since both the owner and the artist are good friends of mine and I have some skills in drawing and coloring, I proposed that I cover for him until he returned. This way, we could keep the project on schedule. Seeing me working, the gym owner and some other members joined in to paint the larger areas. It was fun and a new activity for them. By the time my artist friend returned, we had completed most of the work for him. He just had to add the final touches to the base we had created. This reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is contagious. When we are kind, we inspire others to be kind." Our collective effort not only helped a friend in need but also created a sense of camaraderie and joy among all of us at the gym.
Supporting the Shrikhand Yatra For the past seven years, some dedicated people from Rampur have been organizing stay and food facilities for pilgrims undertaking the Shrikhand Yatra during the month of Savan. This is a long journey of 32 km, taking around 3-4 days to complete. They set up tents around the midway point, providing free stay and food for those on the pilgrimage. This year, I decided to contribute by donating 40 kg of rice along with a good amount of money to support their efforts. If any of you also feel like donating, I will be uploading a photo with this story that includes a QR code so you can be a part of this noble cause. As the saying goes, "Acts of kindness are the bricks that build a life of purpose." By supporting the Shrikhand Yatra, we not only help the pilgrims but also build a stronger, more compassionate community.

A Sweet Break from the Heat Yesterday, two children came to my shop with their shoe polish kit and said, "Bhaiya, shoes polish kar lo apne." I was wearing cloth material shoes, so I told them, "You can't clean these up, sorry." Then they said, "Bhaiya, garmi hai, thodi time fan ki hawa kha lai." I invited them in and started talking to them. I asked if they wanted something to eat, and they smiled and said yes. I ordered ice cream for them, and we talked for about 10-15 minutes while they enjoyed the ice cream and the cool air from the fan. Before leaving, they thanked me and said, "Apke leather wale shoes hum free mai saf karenge, ap kal lai kar aana." I smiled and replied, "Bilkul nahi, karne hai toh paise lena, warna nahi." This experience reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is not just about giving, but also about making someone's day a little brighter." Sharing a moment of cool relief and a treat with these children was a small gesture that made a big difference for all of us.
A Morning Act of Kindness on the Highway At 11 AM today, while roaming along the NH, I noticed a man struggling to park his car in a particularly tight spot. He seemed to be having trouble judging the left side of his vehicle. Seeing his difficulty, I decided to step in and help. I positioned myself at the back left corner of his car, where I could clearly see the space and guide him effectively. I began giving him clear, calm commands, helping him maneuver his car inch by inch into the spot. Despite the challenging space, the man was able to successfully park his car with my guidance. He looked relieved and grateful, and I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing I had made a small difference in his day. This experience reminded me that kindness doesn't always have to be grand gestures; sometimes, it's the small, spontaneous acts that can have the biggest impact.
Today marks a significant turning point for me and my gym partner. We've been heavy smokers for a long time, often reaching for cigarettes as a crutch. However, today, we decided to make a change. Recognizing the toll that smoking was taking on our health and fitness goals, I convinced both myself and my partner to quit these toxic habits. We agreed to focus our energy and commitment solely on improving our health and excelling in our workouts. It wasn't an easy decision, but we both knew it was the right one. As we tossed out our last packs of cigarettes, we felt a mix of apprehension and determination. Our mutual support in this decision has strengthened our resolve. Encouraging each other to break free from unhealthy habits and prioritize our well-being has been a profound act of kindness towards ourselves. This journey towards better health is not just about quitting smoking; it’s about fostering a positive and supportive environment for personal growth and wellness. "Kindness to oneself is the foundation for a healthier life."
Lending a Hand with a Smile Yesterday, after finishing my gym session, I stopped by my favorite café for a quick break. As I walked in, I noticed my friend, who works there, struggling with some wooden work. He was trying to fix some things all by himself, and it was clear he could use an extra pair of hands. Without a second thought, I decided to jump in and lend a hand. With my modest carpentry skills, I offered to assist him. We both laughed as I fumbled with the tools at first, but soon we found our rhythm. As we worked together, the task became easier and much more fun. We managed to fix the things in no time, and the look of relief and gratitude on my friend's face was priceless. It reminded me how small gestures can strengthen friendships and create joyful moments out of mundane tasks. Helping him not only got the job done faster but also added a bit of humor and camaraderie to the day. "Kindness is lending a hand and a smile when someone needs it most."
Fueling Friendships and Fitness Goals Today, I decided to do something special for my friends who are all passionate about fitness and go to different gyms. Knowing how important proper nutrition is for achieving fitness goals, I bought a variety of protein bars to share with them. Each bar was chosen with care, considering their different tastes and dietary needs. When I went to see friends, I gave them protein bars and gave them words of support. It wasn’t just about the bars; it was about showing that I care about their dedication and supporting their journey in a tangible way. This experience reminded me of the saying, "Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world." By sharing these protein bars, I aimed to encourage and support my friends, reminding them that we are all in this together and that their goals matter to me. Seeing their smiles and hearing their words of appreciation made me realize how a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day.
A Lifeline for Shri Kanu Ram Yesterday, I received an urgent message from a member of the Rampur Rakt Daan group. There was an immediate need for B+ve blood at Khaneri Hospital for a patient named Shri Kanu Ram, and the blood bank was completely out of stock. Understanding the gravity of the situation, I began searching for someone with the same blood type. After making numerous calls, I finally found a student who matched the blood type. However, he had no means of transportation to get to the hospital. Without hesitation, I rushed to his place, picked him up, and drove him to the hospital. Once there, I helped him fill out the necessary forms and guided him through the donation process. Thanks to his donation, we were able to provide the much-needed blood for Shri Kanu Ram. This experience reminded me of the importance of being there for others in times of need. As the saying goes, "One act of kindness can create endless ripples." Yesterday, we created a ripple that made a difference in someone's life, demonstrating how our collective efforts can bring hope and healing.
Lending a Hand at the Blood Donation Center Yesterday, when I went to the hospital to arrange a blood donation for Shri Kanu Ram, I noticed several other people who were also there to donate blood for their family members or others in need. Some of them were struggling to fill in the blood donation forms, looking anxious and unsure of how to proceed. Seeing this, I stepped forward and offered my help. I filled in the forms for three donors, patiently asking them for their details and completing the paperwork on their behalf. This small act of kindness eased their worries and helped expedite the donation process for everyone involved. As I helped them, I realized how simple gestures can make a significant impact. "A little spark of kindness can put a colossal burst of sunshine into someone's day." Yesterday, by lending a hand to those in need, we all contributed to making the world a little brighter.
Baking Surprises for Loved Ones Today, I decided to bake a special cake for my parents. My mom has always been very fond of homemade cakes, and I wanted to surprise her with a delicious treat. As I was preparing the cake, I thought about my gym friends and their dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Inspired by this, I also baked protein brownies for them. In the morning, I will surprise both my family and my friends with these homemade goodies. I can already imagine the smiles and joy on their faces when they receive their treats. This simple act of baking has brought me immense happiness, knowing that I am spreading a little bit of love and kindness to the people who mean the most to me. "Kindness is the sweetest thing you can bake into your life." Today, by baking these cakes and brownies, I hope to bring a bit of that sweetness to the lives of my loved ones.
Bridging Differences with a Simple Act of Kindness Today, as I was crossing a narrow bridge, I saw two people arguing. The bridge was so narrow that only one car could pass at a time, and both drivers were stuck in the middle, unwilling to reverse. They were each demanding that the other back up, creating a traffic jam. Seeing this, I stepped in to help resolve the situation. I discovered that one of the drivers was not confident in his reversing skills and was afraid due to the width of the bridge. Understanding his predicament, I offered to help. I sat in his driver's seat and carefully reversed his car all the way back, allowing the other vehicle to pass and clearing the traffic. This simple act of assistance helped ease the tension and got the traffic moving smoothly again. "Kindness is seeing the need and stepping up to fill it." Today, by lending a hand to a driver in need, I was able to bring a little more peace and cooperation to a stressful situation.
A Simple Act of Kindness Today, while I was sitting in my shop, an old lady came and stood in front. I asked her, "Kya hua, Daddi?" She replied, "Bhukh lagi hai, kuch khaya nahi hai subha se". Listening to this, i decided to gave her some money, and according to me that amount was enough for her to have two meals from the market. As the old lady gratefully accepted the money and walked away, a sense of fulfillment and joy filled my heart. I realized that true happiness lies in making a positive difference in the lives of others, no matter how small the gesture may be. This experience reminded me of the wise words of Mahatma Gandhi, who once said, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." By embracing kindness and compassion, we not only enrich the lives of those around us but also discover the true essence of our own humanity.
A Helping Hand for Dinner Yesterday, we were expecting guests for dinner, but my mother wasn't feeling well. Instead of going to the gym, I decided to take my mother's place in the kitchen so she could rest and feel better. I asked her to relax while I prepared the meal for our guests. I cooked the food, served it to the guests, and made sure everything was perfect. After dinner, I helped with cleaning the kitchen, ensuring my mother had nothing to worry about. Sometimes, the best way to show love is through simple acts of kindness.
A Simple Act of Kindness at the Petrol Pump Today, I went to the petrol pump to fill up my tank. After fueling up, I decided to check the air pressure in my car tires at their free air station. The attendant there was diligently helping drivers, ensuring everyone's tires were properly inflated without charging a single penny. Once he finished checking and adjusting the air in my tires, I felt a surge of appreciation for his hard work. Despite this service being free, I knew he was putting in a lot of effort to keep drivers safe on the road. To show my gratitude, I handed him a generous tip. He was surprised and thanked me warmly, his face lighting up with a smile. This small act of kindness reminded me how even the simplest gestures can brighten someone's day and acknowledge their hard work. "Kindness is giving when you are thanked the most for what costs you the least."

A Nighttime Act of Kindness on the Road Last night, as my friend and I were driving home, we saw a man struggling on the side of the road. His car had broken down, and he looked quite frustrated. We pulled over and asked him what the problem was. He explained that his car battery had died, and he didn't know what to do. Seeing his distress, we decided to help. We suggested he put his car in second gear, press the clutch, and gain some speed. Once he was ready, we began pushing his car, urging him to release the clutch when he had enough momentum. After a few moments of pushing, he did as we instructed. To his relief and our satisfaction, the car's engine roared back to life. He was immensely grateful and thanked us repeatedly. This experience reinforced the idea that sometimes, lending a hand can make a significant difference in someone's day. "Kindness is helping others, even when you have nothing to gain."
A Helping Hand for a Worker and Her Grandchild Today, after finishing my gym session, I waited outside for my friends to complete their workout. As I was waiting, I noticed a worker lady trying to make a bed for her grandchild by tying a piece of cloth between a pillar and a steel railing. I approached her and offered to help. While we were setting up the bed, she shared that it was very tough to work and take care of the baby at the same time. When I told her I would take care of her grandchild, she thanked me with a grateful smile. I told her to go ahead and continue her work; I would look after the baby. I played with the little one for a long time, and eventually, I managed to put the baby to sleep. I sat next to her, keeping a watchful eye to ensure she was safe. Helping others in their time of need is the essence of kindness, and it brings warmth to both the giver and the receiver.

#ELEMENT2024 Moments of Impact: My personal transformation program. As far as I can remember I have always been a foodie. To me food was not just a basic need it was actually something that I was passionate about it was something that I wanted way more than anything else. But in the last year, things change little bit. I had passion for food and to an extent it affected my heath since I was weighing nearly around 99kgs. And with that came a toll on my self esteem more especially with the increase in my weight. This is the time that I started not wanting to go out and probably look for any reason possible not to attend family occasions, parties or other social functions. It is worth to notice that they started going to the gym, but it was rather informal and not that serious as to be ready to make some changes. In addition to all these, I started observing that my moodswas just getting worse and worse. I could not longer control my temper and would easily get angry and antsy all the time. I was trapped and for some reason I could not escape it and I was under the impression that nobody can get out of this. Later on, one of my best friends told me to accompany her boyfriend’s gym. He had only been running it for a very short time but she thought that he will be able to get me back to basic. Reluctantly, I agreed. What I failed to grasp at the time was the fact that I was going to turn my life around with this decision. By his leadership, fitness changed from just a practice from being active into the process of discovering and becoming. It wasn’t just about teaching me certain exercises—he had to show me what fitness entailed in the best way he could. Gradually the process was set in motion and I began shedding weight, however, what was even more important, I started to get my confidence back. I am no longer easily irritated, get angry or outcry again, instead I feel a boost in achievement, and personal fulfillment. Looking back, this gym wasn’t just a-place to workout but it become the catalyst for me to regain control over my life. And for that, i will always be grateful. And this confidence inspires me to take advantage of every opportunity to learn something new in life and joining this ELEMENT program is the result this only.
#ELEMENT2024 Moments of Impact Story-2 : A life-saving gesture, which prescribed the trajectory of my way: The 1000 Stories of Kindness campaign started in July with the idea to perform 10–12 acts of kindness throughout the month. I got a sense of doing things for animals, strangers, and elder people, and everything I did made me feel powerful in some way. However, there was something that changed my life, and for the better, I may add, and that was it. During the campaign, I reached our government hospital’s blood bank, where there was a severe shortage of blood. The demand was huge, and we provided donors throughout the month. Even till today, I am doing the same. Rampur is suffering from dengue, and patients suffering from dengue possessed a dangerously low platelet count, found begging for blood. This is what I saw at the blood bank I visited, and I think it changed me for life: families were almost pleading for blood to save their family members. Some went to the extent of paying for causes by donation due to feeling helpless. The feelings of hopelessness and sadness in people were really shocking. Yes, only the day before yesterday, we had to save a man whose blood group was AB-negative, and his platelet was down to a critical level of 3 grams. I even accompanied his family members in searching for a place to eat and stay. It was very inspiring and humbling to see the relief and hope that blossomed in the eyes of those families. What was once viewed as a way to spread a bout of good spirit has now manifested into a part of my life. I’ve carried friends to donate blood, we have made a positive impact in society. Since July, I have grown to forget how many lives I have been privileged to save. While this was part of the our Campaign, now it has become a mission for me, and for this, I am grateful. I know the essence of compassion, selfless attitude, and leadership by participating in the campaign. It has helped me understand the importance of volunteering and performing good deeds and how far-reaching their impact can be. Lastly, it has made me understand that leadership is not a one-way process of leading people but being there when needed; it means making decisions that positively impact the needy and encouraging people to do the same. It was with this realization that I began to apply for the Element Leadership Program, in order to gain more from it. For this, I owe my gratitude to the 1GEN and 1000 Stories of Kindness campaign.
#ELEMENT2024 Moments of Impact 03: Overcoming Anxiety and Stress from a Toxic Relationship and Bad Habits There are times in life that can really shake us up, and for me, it came when I was stuck in a toxic relationship and battling unhealthy habits. These experiences hit me hard and took a toll on my mental health. I was in a relationship that started off well but quickly turned into a source of constant stress and anxiety. My partner’s behavior became unpredictable and hurtful, leaving me feeling anxious and unsure about everything. The arguments and emotional manipulation wore me down, and my self-esteem plummeted. To cope, I turned to harmful habits. Instead of addressing the real issues, I used overeating, drinking, and neglecting my health as ways to escape my pain. These distractions only made things worse, and I found myself trapped in a cycle of self-destructive behavior. The stress and anxiety grew overwhelming. I couldn’t sleep, was constantly worried, and felt a deep sense of dread. My work and relationships suffered, and I felt utterly lost. The turning point came when I reached a breaking point. My anxiety had become so intense that I was having panic attacks and felt completely alone. That’s when a friend noticed what I was going through and reached out to help. They encouraged me to seek professional help and start making positive changes. Taking that first step was tough, but it marked the beginning of my healing journey. With therapy and support, I began to address the issues from the toxic relationship and replace my bad habits with healthier choices. It wasn’t easy, but slowly, I started to regain control of my life. This experience taught me a lot about the importance of mental health and how much our relationships and habits affect our well-being. It showed me that it’s crucial to get out of toxic situations and make positive changes, even when it feels hard. Going through this journey made me more passionate about helping others who face similar struggles. It’s a reminder that even in our darkest times, we can find strength to overcome, heal, and build a better future.

The timing of my walks has shifted, but more importantly, I now experience a lasting sense of calm and balance throughout the day. I’ve become less irritable, handling minor frustrations with ease, and this mood boost carries on through the day. Recently, I’ve noticed a deeper awareness of my steps, how my muscles respond, and even the rhythm of my breathing, all syncing naturally with my surroundings. Hi Team, Good morning , We're excited to share our idea for the 10-10-10 Campaign: Name of Campaign: "Night Guardians: Protecting Animals" 🐾🐄 Every day, we hear tragic stories of stray cows and dogs being involved in https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/auto/news/stray-dogs-coconuts-cause-more-road-accidents-than-drunk-driving-in-india-report/articleshow/115902242.cms at night, often resulting in the loss of both animal and human lives. Did you know that stray dogs are responsible for 62% of animal-related road accidents, while cows account for 29% and buffaloes for 4%? In 2024 alone, 1,376 accidents were reported due to stray animals, involving 804 dogs and 350 cattle. It’s heartbreaking, and it's time we take action to prevent these incidents. Our plan is simple but impactful: We will be providing night reflector collars for these animals and applying reflector tape to ensure they are visible to vehicles after dark. By doing this, we aim to reduce accidents and create safer roads for everyone. Key Points: • Accident Prevention: Stray animals, especially at night, face great danger on the roads, often unseen by drivers until it’s too late. This initiative will help reduce these accidents and save lives—both animal and human. • Reflector Collars & Tape: The core of our campaign involves equipping stray cows and dogs with reflective collars and using reflective tape to make sure they are visible to passing vehicles. This small but effective measure can make a huge difference. • Community Involvement: We've had strong support from local groups, and now it's our turn to contribute. We're looking for people to help us to raise awareness. If you’re interested in joining this important cause and making a real difference, please reach out to @Shubhi or me. Also, mark a green tick emoji ✅ if you’re in for this campaign. Let’s come together and take this vital step to protect our stray animals and make the roads safer for everyone. Thank you! 🦋

Special mention to a Gau Shala in Rampur, where we donated Betadine and dressing materials for a cow that had been attacked by a bear.Support Local: To further support the community, all supplies were purchased from small local shops instead of big retailers, boosting the local economy.Community Engagement: We gifted reflective collars to individuals who wanted to help tie them on stray animals near their homes. "The strength of a woman is not measured by the tasks she completes, but by the heart she puts into every moment." Yesterday on the occasion of Shivratri, I had the joy of helping my mom with all the pooja rituals while also managing the kitchen and cooking for our guests. Balancing it all with my office work was quite the adventure, but it felt amazing to step into her shoes for a day!

I’m truly grateful to all the positive people in my life
My mom is my greatest supporter and biggest critic all in one. She’s always there to pick me up when I fall, but she’s also not afraid to remind me when I’m being a little too careless. Even if I’m taller and bigger than her now, that doesn’t stop her from keeping me in line. And honestly, I’m so grateful for it! Her Loving Slaps and Endless Care In a cute, funny, and very my mom way, those little slaps are her way of keeping me grounded, reminding me that no matter how old I get, she’ll always be there to guide me. Whether I’m making big career decisions or just deciding what to eat for dinner, I know she’s always got my back—and maybe a slap ready if I’m not listening! Mom, thank you for always loving me enough to show me the right path.
I am grateful to laughter for its power to heal and bring people closer together.

Whether it’s sneaking me in after a late night or offering the best advice, she’s always there with support, laughter, and love. She keeps me grounded, helps me stay out of trouble, and is my forever mentor and She-ro. I truly couldn’t ask for a better sister! ❤️

My Mentor, My She-ro: Shubhi, My Unexpected Guide and Friend If there’s one person who’s been my guide, partner in crime, and constant support through all the ups and downs, it’s Shubhi. She was my sister’s best friend, but over time, she became my own mentor and closest ally.So I quickly stole her for myself! She’s not just my travel buddy and fun-time partner but my mentor, the one who’s been showing me the right path since I passed 10th grade. From our fun moments to late-night talks to making life decisions, Shubhi has been my rock, always offering the best advice and shaping my future. Whether it’s helping me navigate tough choices or simply being there through every high and low, she’s been the key to my growth. I couldn’t have done it without her. ❤️🦋

From a Small Gesture to a Lasting Bond Last year, what began as a small step of kindness during the "1000 Stories of Kindness" campaign has blossomed into something truly significant. It's almost a year now, and the stray dog I started feeding is still with me. What was once a simple act of providing a meal has grown into a deep, unwavering bond. I ensure her food, water, and vaccinations are all taken care of. She's not just a dog I feed; she's become a cherished part of my life, a testament to how a small gesture can lead to a profound connection.

A Helping Hand for a Friend's Grandpa Today, my friend Abhishek was in worry. His grandfather is very old and can not walk, and he needed a blood test report today, but every blood lab that come to home for collecting blood samples were closed.Abhishek was pacing, his face full of concern. That's when I stepped in, with an idea. I knew just what to do. I thought of my friend, Reenu, a nurse at the local hospital. Without a second thought, I went straight to the hospital. Reenu understood how urgent it was and didn't hesitate. She quickly got her things ready and came back with me to Abhishek's home. With skill and care, Reenu took the blood sample. Abhishek felt a huge sense of relief. I then took the sample right to the government hospital, where they could do the tests. By the end of the day, Abhishek had the results his grandfather, all thanks to quick thinking and the kindness of my friend reenu. It was a small thing, but it made a big difference.
A Grandchild's Comfort Today, my grandmother wasn't feeling good at all. She was having a lot of pain in her legs and arms after her recent surgery, and it was hard to see her so uncomfortable. I really wanted to do something to help her feel better. So, I decided to try and ease her pain. I got some oil and gently started massaging her legs and arms. I made sure to be very soft, pressing just enough on her feet and arms to try and bring her some relief. As I continued, I could see a little bit of the tension leave her face. It felt good to know I could offer her even a small bit of comfort.

A Ride in the Rain Today, it was raining very hard when I left the gym. As I was driving back home, I saw a person standing under a big tree. He looked like he was waiting for the rain to stop. I stopped my car next to him. I asked him, "Where do you need to go?" I was lucky because he wanted to go the same way I was going! So, I told him, "You can ride with me." He was happy to hear that. It felt good to help someone when he needed it.
Helping Hand After the Rain The rain finally stopped. The house was a mess—muddy footprints everywhere. I saw Mom about to start cleaning, looking really tired. Instead of playing on my phone, I just walked over. "Mom, let me help," I said, grabbing a mop. She looked surprised but smiled. We worked together, not saying much, just cleaning. Slowly, the house got clean. Floors shiny, rugs dry. Mom put her arm around me. "Thank you," she said. "It's so much easier with you." It felt good. Way better than any game. Just helping her made me feel warm inside. It was a small thing, but it felt really kind.
A Timely Break for Dr. Akshay My friend, Dr. Akshay, was swamped. His hospital schedule was relentless, leaving him no time to breathe, let alone study for his crucial MD exams. He was clearly frustrated and utterly exhausted. Seeing his struggle, I knew I had to do something. I found him looking completely drained, and after he vented about the endless shifts and overwhelming pressure, I simply said, "Let's get out of here. Lunch is on me." We went to a quiet cafe, miles away from the hospital's intensity. We talked about anything and everything except medicine, just enjoying a much-needed change of scenery. I watched as the tension slowly melted from his shoulders. His tired eyes began to sparkle again. By the time we finished, Akshay looked noticeably lighter. "Thanks," he said, a genuine smile on his face. "I really needed that break." Sometimes, a simple act of kindness and a listening ear are all it takes to make a world of difference for a friend.
A Helping Hand in the Rain Today, I noticed my neighbor's house help struggling to carry heavy groceries in the rain. He was making multiple trips to avoid getting everything soaked. Without thinking twice, I offered to help and carried a few of the bags with him. It was a small act, but it felt good to know that he didn’t have to get completely drenched just to get the essentials home. Sometimes, kindness is just about showing up when someone least expects it.
Morning Kindness for a Stray This morning, I saw a stray dog sitting quietly near my gate. He looked hungry and was shivering a little in the breeze. I had some biscuits with me, so I walked over and gave them to him. He wagged his tail and happily ate every bite. It felt nice to start the day with a small act of kindness. Sometimes, the simplest gestures can mean the world to someone—especially when they can’t say it in words.
grateful for such beautiful morning 😇
Lightening the Load at Home Today, our house help was on holiday, and some guests came over to meet my grandmother. By the time I got home, lunch had already been served, and my mom had done everything on her own. She was finally sitting down to spend time with the guests, but the kitchen was a complete mess. I told her, “You relax and enjoy your time—I’ll take care of the kitchen.” It felt good to step in and give her a break. Sometimes, kindness starts right at home.
A Kind Step towards Myself Today, I took a kind step toward myself—I restarted my fitness journey after a two-month break. Life got busy, and I had put my health on pause. But instead of feeling guilty, I chose to be gentle with myself and begin again. Getting back on the mat felt like reconnecting with a part of me I had missed. Kindness isn’t always about others—sometimes, it’s about listening to your own needs and showing up for yourself.
A Cool Sip of Kindness This afternoon, I saw an elderly uncle sitting near my house gate, looking tired and worn out from the heat. Without thinking twice, I went inside and brought him a bottle of cold water. He smiled and gratefully accepted it. It was a small act, but it reminded me how a simple gesture can bring comfort to someone in need. Kindness doesn't have to be big—sometimes, it's just about offering a little care when it matters most.
Juice Break with a New Friend This morning, I was sitting outside with my friend, enjoying some fresh air. He had just bought a juice when a small pup came wandering over, looking tired and thirsty. Without a second thought, I took the juice and gently offered it to the pup. He happily lapped it up, wagging his tail in joy. After that, we played with him for a while. It turned into a sweet moment we didn’t expect—proof that a little kindness can turn a regular morning into something special.
A Lunch Made with Love Today, I saw my mom completely occupied taking care of my grandmother. She hadn’t had time to step into the kitchen, so I decided to take over and cook lunch for everyone . It wasn’t anything fancy, just a simple meal made with love. Sometimes, the best way to show kindness is by giving a little comfort to the ones who always put others first.
Visiting the temple brings me a profound sense of peace and clarity. I am grateful for the calmness it offers, allowing me to find solace and deepen my spiritual connection.
Looking After the Gym and Lending a Hand This morning, I went to the gym to look after it while my friend was away in his village for a family function. While there, I also helped a few new clients with their workouts, guiding them through basic exercises and making sure they felt comfortable. It was a great way to support my friend and share some kindness with others starting their fitness journey. Sometimes, being there for others—even in small ways—makes a big difference.
A Little Extra at the Local Pump Today, after getting fuel at a local pump, I felt thankful for the quick and polite service. So, I left a small tip and added a positive review for them using their app. The staff smiled and appreciated the gesture. It was a simple way to show gratitude, and a reminder that small acts of kindness can go a long way in brightening someone's day.
