MY STORIES
A few days back as a daily habit I went for a walk in the park in the evening. Just when I was done walking, I sat on a bench and found a phone lying on the bench. I looked around to find a person to whom I could hand the phone to. But there was no one except for children playing and some adults walking. After a few minutes, the phone started ringing. I picked up the call and told the person on the other side about the whole situation. I sat there for an hour waiting for the person. When he arrived I handed over his phone. I saw a sign of relief on his face. He thanked me and I felt happy. #1000StoriesOfKindness

One summer afternoon, while I was going out for some work I spotted our society’s sweeper. He was sweeping the area outside our apartment due to which he seemed very tired and was sweating very badly. So I went inside the house and offered him a glass of cold water to drink. He said he really needed it. He thanked me with a wide smile on his face. 😇 #1000storiesofkindness #wemakeawesomehappen
Yesterday, on my way back home, I stopped at a traffic signal waiting for it to turn green. I saw a little girl selling roses nearby. I called her and bought few roses from her and took them home. She was really happy. And It felt amazing seeing her smile. 🌹❤️
One afternoon when I went out of my house to pick up my nephew from his school, I spotted an old lady who lives alone in our neighbourhood. She was going in and out of all nearby shops one by one. I couldn’t help myself but to ask her about it. She told me that she’s looking for change of 500rupees as she wanted to travel by an autorickshaw. Without any second thought I handed her 200rupees note that I had kept in my phone cover and insisted her to use it until she gets the change. She seemed very happy by the little gesture. I also felt amazing seeing her smile.
Today, As a part of his school craft assignment I taught my nephew Daksh to make a paper boat. I helped him stick it in his craft book. He said “Thank you Massi, the teacher will give me good marks now”. I could clearly see the joy in his eyes. The little smile on his face made my day! 😇
Yesterday, On the occasion of her birthday I surprised my Mom with a Smartwatch as she told me once that she was not able to see the timings clearly due to her increased eyesight on her analog watch which had a small dial. She was very amazed to see that I remembered the small problem she had mentioned to me. I could clearly see happiness in her eyes! ❤️
On the last weekend, I went shopping with my friend. As she was trying on clothes I was sitting outside of the changing room. From another changing room one woman came outside and she seemed very confused with 1 dress she was wearing and another in her hand. I asked her politely if I can help her. She immediately started telling me about her confusion. I helped her choose 1 dress out of the 2. She thanked me with a smile and bought the dress and It made me feel happy.
Today morning, Our maid came a little late. When I asked her the reason she said, that she had to drop her kid to the school and couldn’t inform us over a call as she didn’t have recharge on her phone. So I recharged her number and she thanked me with gratitude. She said that she’ll pay me back once she gets her salary. I told her not to worry about it. This little act of kindness made me feel amazing about myself!
Today while going out I saw a bunch of people selling dustbin bags on a footpath beside a highway. There were some kids playing around as well. After spotting the kids I went to a shop nearby and bought a few packets of biscuits and distributed to the kids. I could clearly see their eyes filled up with happiness instantly. It made my day happier.
A few days back, we had a maid who used to make chapatis for us. One day she was telling that her daughter has completed her college and is looking for a job. She was frustrated as she was looking for a job since a year. When she told me about it, I asked her to share her resume with me. I forwarded her resume with all my friends who work as recruiters. Also, I helped her in updating her LinkedIn profile. She and her mother thanked me for it.
Most of the time whenever I go to buy vegetables, I notice that people bargain with the vegetable or fruit vendors for saving 5-10 rupees. The vegetable vendors who travel far from their villages just to sell vegetables and earn a very little amount of money. Vegetables and fruits are what we need daily as one of the most basic requirement for us. As an act of kindness, I have decided not to bargain while buying vegetables or fruits from the local vendors.
Every Sunday morning my mom makes a special dish as a breakfast for us. So yesterday I decided to make breakfast for my parents. So that my mom will enjoy a little free time in the morning. I made Appam and green chutney as a breakfast for my parents and served them along with their favourite tea. Everyone loved it and looked very happy after having the delicious breakfast.
I’m grateful for the fresh cup of coffee I get to have every morning. It helps me spend my day energetically and helps me focus on my work.
Hi Team, Campaign Name: Warmth for All For many of us, blankets are a source of comfort and warmth on cold nights. But for the homeless, blankets can mean so much more. A blanket can provide a barrier against the cold, both physically and emotionally. It can be a reminder that someone cares and that people are willing to help. That's why blankets are one of the most needed items for the homeless. They provide warmth and a sense of security and safety. Blankets can provide much-needed warmth during cold winters and be used as makeshift beds or pillows. Through Warmth for All, we aim to provide blankets to the homeless people staying near the Godavari River, Nashik. We can help to make a small but important difference in the lives of those who are struggling. If anyone is willing to be a part of the campaign physically or virtually please feel free to reach out. Team Members: @Aishwarya @Priyanka Gupta @Priyanka Salve @Ishwinder @Ankit Let's be a part of Warmth for All and wrap our community in warmth and love. 🤍🦋 Thank You!
I am grateful to the internet for providing endless resources to learn. ✨
Grateful for the delicious meal I got to enjoy on the sunday with an old friend.
A day in her shoe!! Celebrating Progress on Women’s Day 💪✨ A year ago, I was in a completely different place. Struggling with stress from work, a poor daily routine, and not making time for myself, I was far from physically fit or mentally well. But everything changed when I made a leap and started working with 1GEN. This gave me the space to focus on what truly matters — my health, my mental well-being, and finding balance in my life. Now, I make time for fitness, enjoy peaceful walks, read more, and nurture a healthy work-life balance. Today, I’m proud to say that I’m living a happier, healthier life. It’s a journey, and every day is a step toward better. 💫 To all the women out there, take the time to prioritize yourself. Your health — physical and mental — is worth it. 💖 #WomensDay #SelfCare #HealthIsWealth #Balance #Progress
Yesterday, when our maid came over, I noticed she was walking with difficulty. It was clear she was in pain, so I asked her what had happened. She told me she had hurt her leg on the way to our place but still came to work. Seeing her struggle made me feel concerned. I went to our medicine box and gave her a pain relief spray and ointment. She was genuinely thankful, and I could tell it meant a lot to her. It was such a small thing to do, but it stayed with me all day. Helping her made me feel like I had done something meaningful, even if it was small. It reminded me that kindness doesn’t have to be big to matter.
It was a quiet weekend morning when I decided to surprise my parents with a simple but thoughtful act. I woke up early and made poha for breakfast—fluffy, golden, and topped with peanuts and a dash of lemon. When they came out and saw the breakfast ready, a smile lit up their faces. They didn’t say much, but their eyes said it all—comfort, love, and appreciation. Seeing them enjoy the food made me feel deeply content. Sometimes, small gestures like this can bring the biggest warmth to a home.

At the gym one evening, I noticed another woman standing quietly near the treadmills, looking unsure and hesitant. She kept glancing at the buttons but never stepped on. I could tell she was nervous and too shy to ask anyone for help. I walked over gently and asked if she needed a hand. She smiled nervously and nodded. I showed her how to start slowly, adjust the speed, and hold the rails if needed. I stayed beside her for a few minutes, encouraging her and answering her questions. Soon, she was walking confidently, with a big smile on her face. Helping her took just a few minutes, but seeing her overcome her fear felt truly fulfilling. It reminded me how small gestures can make someone’s day—and maybe even their fitness journey—much easier.
At a traffic signal, I saw a poor lady with two small children, trying to sell car decors in the scorching sun. She looked tired but hopeful. I rolled down my window and bought one. Her face lit up with a smile, and her little kids beamed with joy. It was just a small gesture, but it made my day feel warmer and her day a little brighter.
One evening, as I returned from the gym, I saw my elderly neighbor struggling with a few heavy grocery bags at the building entrance. Without a second thought, I offered to help. She smiled gratefully, and I carried her bags up the stairs to her flat. It was a small gesture, but her warm thank you and the relief on her face made my day.
This morning at the gym, I noticed an elderly man struggling at the entrance—his biometric wasn’t getting accepted. He looked confused and a bit helpless. I quickly walked over and pressed the entry button from inside to let him in. He smiled warmly and nodded in thanks. That small gesture made my morning feel meaningful.
Yesterday, my elderly neighbour, who lives alone, came to me looking a little worried. She needed to make an urgent phone call but her phone balance had run out. She didn’t know how to do online recharge and had no nearby help. Without hesitation, I recharged her mobile from my phone. Her face lit up with relief and gratitude. It was such a small gesture, but it reminded me how little things can make a big difference in someone’s day.
One hot afternoon, I was heading back home when I noticed an elderly uncle from our neighborhood standing by the roadside, looking tired and waiting for an auto-rickshaw. The sun was harsh, and there were hardly any autos around. Without thinking twice, I pulled over and offered him a ride home. He smiled with relief and thanked me warmly. It felt good to help someone in need, especially someone who lives nearby. A small gesture, but it made both our days a little better.
Yesterday, after visiting the Mahadev temple, I saw a few indigent families sitting nearby. I went to a local fruit vendor, bought a bunch of bananas, and returned to distribute them to each one of them. Their smiles and blessings made my heart feel full — such a small act, yet it brought so much warmth.
Yesterday at the temple, I saw an old lady struggling to climb the stairs without any support. She looked tired and unsteady. I gently held her hand and walked with her, step by step, until she reached the top safely. She smiled and thanked me with folded hands — a moment of quiet kindness that warmed my heart.
Last weekend, my 5-year-old niece was feeling bored at home and kept asking to go out. Seeing her little face light up with excitement, I took her to the nearby park. She ran around, played on the swings, and laughed nonstop. Her happiness made my day — sometimes, the simplest moments mean the most.
At the gym today, I noticed a lady rushing toward the elevator just as the doors were about to close. Without a second thought, I held the lift open for her with a smile. She stepped in, slightly out of breath, and thanked me warmly. It was a small gesture, but it made both our mornings a little brighter. ☺️
This morning, while I was on my way, I saw a lady who had fallen off her scooty and was struggling to get back up. Without thinking twice, I rushed over to help her. I gently lifted her scooty and made sure she was okay. She seemed a bit shaken, so I offered her some water and waited with her until she felt better. She smiled and thanked me with teary eyes and that moment reminded me how a small act of help can truly make someone’s day a little easier.
One afternoon at the bank, I noticed an elderly uncle standing hesitantly near the cash deposit machine, holding a bundle of notes and a slip in his hand. He looked a little confused and kept glancing around, unsure how to begin. I walked up to him with a smile and gently asked if he needed any help. He nodded with relief and said it was his first time using the machine. Step by step, I guided him through the process—how to insert the card, enter the PIN, and place the cash in the deposit slot. He listened carefully, nodding at each instruction. Within a few minutes, the transaction was successfully completed. He turned to me with genuine gratitude in his eyes and said, “Thank you beta, you’ve made my day so much easier.” I just smiled and replied, “Happy to help, uncle.” Sometimes, the smallest moments can make someone feel a little less alone in this fast-paced world.
Last night, my father wasn’t feeling well—he had a bad cold and cough. Seeing him uncomfortable, I quietly went to the kitchen and made him a warm cup of herbal tea with tulsi, ginger, and honey. I handed it to him with a smile and sat beside him while he sipped it slowly. He looked at me with tired eyes but smiled softly, and in that moment, I knew a small gesture of care made a big difference.
While traveling on a bus today, I noticed a lady struggling to lift her heavy bag onto the top shelf. Without a second thought, I stood up and offered to help. She smiled with relief as I carefully lifted the bag and placed it securely above. She thanked me warmly, and I nodded with a smile, happy to have made her journey a little easier.
