MY STORIES
chai par Charcha🌸 My sister's househelp, Laxmi Aunty, comes to our house at noon, fully tired & exhausted. I always make her a cup of tea, which brings a smile to her face. Despite the language barrier—she only knows Kannada—we both try using a few words of Hindi, English, and Kannada to communicate. That makes me happy. #1000StoriesOfKindness
Yesterday was my mom's birthday. All day, my sister, brother-in-law, and I treated her by making food and taking care of her daily chores. We didn’t let her do anything as a birthday gift. In the evening, we took her to Rajputana for dinner to taste authentic Rajasthani food. She loved it and was so happy, which made my day!💕
In our home, we give our clothes to Bhaiya Ram for ironing. On month of june, when it was extremely hot, around 45 degrees, he was ironing under a tree. He came to our house to deliver clothes at noon, and I was making lemon water. Seeing him, I immediately offered him some lemon water. He happily accepted and, after drinking it, he was happy, and so was I.🌸
Today, I was craving some good food and started browsing Zomato, but then I noticed it was Raining outside. I decided not to order in such heavy rain because I didn't want to risk the delivery person getting hurt or rushing to make the delivery on time. Instead, I thought I should either wait for the rain to stop or cook something at home.
Since I work night shifts, some days we finish very late, sometimes early in the morning. Despite how tired or sleepy I am, my niece Mysha wakes me up at 7 am. I enjoy talking and playing with her, and taking her outside to watch birds and trees. It makes her so happy, and that makes me happy too.

Today, while standing on my balcony, I noticed that my plants were getting dry. I immediately watered them, and seeing them perk up made me really happy!🌸🌿
Recently, my friend Annie was injured in an accident and has been in a lot of pain, both physically and mentally. I’m currently in Bangalore, while she is in Amritsar. Today, I decided to video call her, and we talked for about four hours. I wanted to lift her spirits, so I made her laugh, gave her advice, and encouraged her to share what she was going through. My goal was to help her stop worrying and make her feel more comfortable. Seeing her smile truly made my day!
As part of our "1000 Stories of Kindness" campaign, I noticed many kids playing near my home every evening. So, I went downstairs to play with them and gave them chocolates. Seeing their happiness brought me great satisfaction.🌸

Today, it was raining very heavily. Our househelp finished her work and was ready to go home, but since she walks and her home is far away, she was struggling with the weather. Seeing her difficulty, I booked a cab for her and gave her an umbrella so she could get home safely and securely.
Masum in Bangalore has been raining continuously for the last 4 days, and many pigeons in our society haven't been fed due to the rain. Today, I put food on my balcony for them. They were so hungry that I had to refill it 4-5 times. 🕊️💙
I’ve been missing my niece a lot. Today, during a video call, she received a gift I had sent her – a set of coloring books and a toy. She was so happy and excited when she opened it. Seeing her smile and joy made my day. It reminded me how a small act of kindness can bring so much joy, even from afar. Sharing these moments of happiness helps keep our connections strong, no matter the distance.
Every day, while out for my daily walk, I see an older lady walking as well. Today, I decided to give her a smile, and she smiled back. Feeling encouraged, I struck up a conversation with her. I learned that she's visiting her daughter, who goes to the office and returns later in the evening, so she walks around to pass the time. Talking to her made me miss my own mom, but we ended up sharing a lot about our lives during our walk. She was very happy and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her. It felt great, and I realized that a simple act of kindness can have a big impact. Now, we've become friends and plan to meet again tomorrow!
I was missing my family but struggled to express my feelings to them. So, I decided to send them a gratitude note. This note helped me convey my appreciation, which made my day and theirs as well. They were happy and emotional upon reading it. They called me, and we talked a lot, which truly made my day. #1000storiesofkindness
The ELEVATE program has played a pivotal role in my leadership development journey, and the valuable lessons I've gained will undoubtedly support my career progression and daily tasks. My current priority is to focus on applying these lessons to my project work. I've learned so much from Paul, and I've even implemented gratitude in my personal life. Now that I have this knowledge, I am excited to put it into practice on my daily tasks and make the most of it in real-life situations. Thank you for guiding us Paul!!!🌸 . . . . I want to share this poem with you all. As part of our ELEVATE group homework, each of us was tasked with writing our own poem. Everyone contributed their unique creation, writing their own personal poem- Diye ki roshni se sab andhera door ho jaye Diye ki roshni se sab andhera door ho jaye Hai yakeen ki mehnat se Har khwaab poora ho jaye Karein Vishwas apni mehnat par hum itna Ki roshni ki ek kiran Se bhi ujaala ho jaye Diye ki roshni se sab andhera door ho jaye
I'm grateful for my phone 📱 for always giving me knowledge, entertainment, connecting with loved ones etc etc......
I am grateful for what I am and have.
Breaking Barriers: A Journey of Strength and Leadership Early in my career, I realized that hard work alone wasn’t always enough to be seen and heard. I had to push twice as hard, let my work speak louder than any doubts, and seek out mentors—both male and female—who believed in my potential. But the biggest barrier I had to overcome wasn’t external—it was self-doubt. Just as I was stepping into a leadership role, another challenge emerged: balancing career ambitions while navigating the personal loss of my father. Adjusting to work-from-home life during this difficult time was overwhelming. Some days, meetings were filled with background noise, and on others, I had to remind myself that taking a moment to grieve didn’t mean I was falling behind. Through it all, I learned that leadership isn’t about perfection—it’s about resilience. Now, as a leader, I make it my mission to uplift other women- men in the workplace. I advocate for flexible work environments, mentor others as I was mentored, and ensure every woman’s voice is heard. Because breaking barriers isn’t just about reaching the top—it’s about making the climb easier for those who follow. To every woman facing challenges: Your strength, leadership, and determination matter more than you know. Keep pushing forward. #BreakingBarriers #WomenInLeadership #OurLeadershipOurStrength #Women'sday
My househelp (Nisha di) hasn’t been coming since last week due to a family emergency, so I’m helping my mom and bhabhi with the household chores. I’m doing the laundry, sweeping daily, and taking care of small tasks so that Nisha didi can focus on their home, and my mom and bhabhi don’t get too stressed.
My mumma’s medicine ran out, she was about to go out herself even though she didn’t have much energy. So I went out instead, got her medicine and also brought her some chocolate. Seeing her happy made me feel happy too.
Since it’s our cousin’s wedding and my sister is busy helping out at the event while also managing her toddler, I took care of the child so she could enjoy the wedding.
As Sawan has started, I went to the temple yesterday and offered some malpua, since malpua and kheer are traditional Sawan dishes. Everyone at the temple was happy to have this meal.
As it’s been raining heavily in Amritsar for the last few weeks, I noticed some birds around my home looking hungry. So today, I placed some rice and left out water for them under the shelter of my roof to help them.
