MY STORIES
Living in the hilly areas has always been an adventure. Recently, I bought a new grinder mixture, but it stopped working. I called the customer service, and they sent an executive to fix it. He arrived at my house around 8 PM, just as the rain was about to start. Despite the weather, he diligently worked on fixing the issue. When he finished, I asked him how far his home was, and he told me it was almost 40 kilometers away. Realizing the long journey he had ahead, I paid the bill and added some extra money for snacks. I wanted to ensure he had something to eat on his way back. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day. 🌧️🚗💕
This morning, as I was heading to the market on my scooter to pick up some household items, I noticed a partially disabled person going the same way. I stopped and offered him a ride, which he gratefully accepted with a smile. After dropping him off at the market, he thanked me warmly, his smile lighting up my day. This simple act of kindness was a small gesture, but it made my day much brighter.
Kindness is the act of being considerate, generous, and compassionate towards oneself and others. Today, my wife and I decided to take a leisurely walk along the mountain roads. We talked about nature and its scenic beauty, which we hadn't done in a long time. This experience made me feel relaxed and calm, and I decided to make it a regular practice. This was an act of kindness towards myself.
Kindness is the simple act of showing empathy and offering support to others, even in small ways. This morning, while rushing to the gym, I noticed the garbage disposal worker sitting under a tree near my house. I greeted him with a smile and a lighthearted comment, comparing his pose to that of Lord Shiva. His face momentarily reflected despair as he shared that things were not going well for him. Though I don't know him personally, I took the time to listen and offer words of encouragement, urging him to have faith and trust in divine providence. We both ended with a heartfelt cheer, "Jai Bhole Baba ki." Though I gave nothing material, my words and listening ear might have uplifted his spirits and made his day a bit better.
I regularly care for two local puppies that live near my house. Whenever I have extra food, such as bread or rice, I call them by their names and they eagerly come to me. Despite already owning a dog, I happily feed these puppies, ensuring they are well-fed and taken care of. They visit my house 3 to 4 times a day, and I always welcome them with food and kindness, creating a bond and a safe space for them.
This morning, when the disposal worker came to pick up the household waste, I gave him some money and encouraged him to have a meal on the way. After receiving the money, he smiled. I also took a moment to thank him for his hard work in keeping our area and roads clean.
Today, I took a break from my usual busy schedule to play cricket with two young kids in my neighborhood, aged 5 and 7. They often come to me with their innocent requests, saying, "Bhaiya, will you play cricket with us?" Although I usually have to refuse due to work commitments, their earnestness always touches me. Today, I decided to say yes. Their faces lit up with joy, and we had a wonderful time together. It was heartwarming to see their excitement and energy, and I truly enjoyed the simple pleasure of their company and the purity of their laughter.
Kindness is an immediate response to someone's need, driven by compassion and a willingness to help. Today, I saw a WhatsApp status about a young girl from my town suffering from a liver illness, with her parents struggling to raise the 18 lakh needed for her transplant. Without hesitation, I decided to contribute some amount to support them. While my donation alone may not cover the entire cost, every contribution adds up, making a significant impact in her journey to recovery. Starting my day with this small act of kindness reminds me of the power of collective goodwill.
On the occasion of my younger brother's birthday, I ordered a chocolate cake from a nearby bakery, paying in advance. In the evening, when I received the cake, it turned out to be a different flavor, which made me upset for a few minutes. I immediately called the bakery owner and informed him about the mistake. After checking with his chef, he realized that he had indeed sent the wrong cake. He texted me an apology, which I accepted, and I asked him to be more careful next time. By doing this, I demonstrated kindness and understanding towards a human error, something we often overlook.
My wife and I have a cherished routine of sharing evening tea together, a task she typically handles. Today, knowing she was busy with tutoring, I took the initiative to prepare the tea for both of us. As we sipped our tea, feeling the warmth of the cups in our hands, the rain poured outside, adding a serene beauty to the moment. This small act of kindness gave her a well-deserved break and brought me happiness, knowing I could help and make her day a little easier.
Today, as my mother is not feeling well, I took it upon myself to prepare some food for her. Recognizing her weakness, I decided to serve a nutritious liquid diet to help boost her energy levels and make her feel better.
Today, being Sunday, I decided to take some time in the morning to prepare breakfast for my family. It was a small act of kindness to show my appreciation and love for them, making sure we all started the day together with a warm meal and shared moments.
The ELEVATE program has been instrumental in shaping the person I am today. Through this journey, I learned to confront my fears and embrace boldness. I discovered the true essence of teamwork, understanding how to collaborate and when to ask for help when challenges became overwhelming. I experienced both the highs and lows, but in the end, I emerged stronger, carrying with me invaluable lessons that continue to fuel my personal growth. Paul, I want to sincerely thank you for believing in me and providing me with the opportunity to shine. Your support has been crucial in helping me become a better version of myself. During this program, we had an intriguing task where we were challenged to write a poem about light, encouraging us to dive deep into our thoughts and spark our creativity. I'd love to share my poem on light with all of you, and I hope it resonates with you as you embark on your own journey through the ELEMENT program.

I am grateful for the warm sun during winter time.
I am really grateful for the recent long weekend which gave me a chance to travel to different places and refilled me with lots of positive energy
I recently restarted going to the gym, and I go with a friend. Every morning, I call him as soon as I wake up and say, “I’m going—get ready.” It’s a small gesture, but I’ve learned it makes a big difference. If I don’t call, he usually skips. But when I do, we both end up going, pushing each other to stay consistent and healthy. That simple call has become our quiet routine—one small act of kindness that helps us both show up, together.
It was a regular morning as I rode my scooty towards the market, winding through the steep roads of my hilly town. Just as I was approaching one of the sharper inclines, I noticed two school boys waving for a lift. Their uniforms were neat, bags slung tightly on their backs, and worry clearly written on their faces. They politely asked if I could drop them at their school, explaining that their school van had broken down that day and the driver told them to walk. Their school was quite far, and they were getting late. I looked at the road ahead — the steep climb had always been a struggle for my scooty, especially with extra weight. I didn’t want to risk the engine giving up midway. So, I told them gently, "If you're okay walking a bit more, I’ll pick you up once the road gets a little easier." They looked at each other, then quickly nodded. "Yes,thank you!" one said with a smile. I drove ahead slowly, keeping an eye on them in my mirror until the road evened out. As promised, I stopped and waited. A few minutes later, they reached me, still cheerful despite the walk. As they hopped on, they told me more about their van breaking down and how they had almost thought they’d have to walk the entire way. They thanked me again and again. I smiled and told them it was no trouble. That small lift, that short pause in my routine — it reminded me how a simple act can bring real help to someone’s day.
