MY STORIES
Yesterday in the market, I saw a man and his son asking for money to buy dinner. I gave them some and learned he was a factory worker struggling with low wages. His care for his son reminded me of Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness. I bought his son an ice cream, and his joyful smile made my day.
Yesterday I ordered food in evening from swiggy, and as soon as my food got dispatched,it started raining heavily, I called the delivery boy and told him to wait until the rain is over but he insisted as he already got wet from the rain, and delivered at my doorstep completely drenched but the food was safe seeing this act made me felt really grateful , I gave him some refreshment and tipped him and let him know how grateful I was to him and this brought a big smile on his face which in return made me happy.
Today while driving back home from church my family and I saw a family on a motorcycle, the wife was holding the baby in her arms, completely unaware that her dupatta was hanging so close to the wheel such that it could get tangled in it, so I lowered down my window and let the couple know of this, the wife immediately fixed it and they nodded thankfully, this was a brief moment of kindness but it made me feel a whole lot better

Yesterday, my landlord left for her amarnath yatra pilgrimage. She had to leave behind her elderly mother and young daughter because of school. Unfortunately, it poured rain this morning, and her daughter missed the school van. Seeing this, I offered to drive her daughter to school in my car. My landlord was incredibly grateful for the help. This small act of kindness really brightened my day.
On my way back from the gym this morning, I saw a couple with their child riding a motorbike ahead of me. When they hit a speed bump, the child's slipper flew off and landed on the road. I quickly stopped my Activa, grabbed the slipper, and pulled up next to them to return it. They were incredibly grateful, and it made my day knowing I could help!
Yesterday at the gym, I noticed an older gentleman struggling to get into the right position for the bench press. There wasn't a trainer around, and I could tell he was hesitant to ask for help. So, I decided to lend a hand and showed him the proper form. I even helped him complete his sets. He was incredibly grateful for the assistance, and it felt great to be able to help him out.
Knowing my aunt was having financial trouble after her washing machine broke down, I worried about the extra burden it placed on her eldest daughter. Having to wash clothes by hand meant less time for studies. So, I called my cousins, and together we decided to chip in and buy her a new washing machine. We surprised her with it this week, and her joy made us all feel fantastic!
Today morning I was making coffee, so I decided to make one extra cup for our maid and shared snacks with her, this made me feel good.
One of our family friends phone got stolen yesterday by their own son's friend who were into misuse of drugs, uncle was very troubled as he didn't had enough money rn to buy a new phone, so I decided to give him one of our phones which weren't in use rn, he was very relieved and thanked us a lot
Today evening one of our family friend fell ill and they couldn't go to the nearest pharma shop, seeing this i offered help and went to fetch inplace. this little act of kindness made me feel good
Last week I shared the story of my addiction and how I got over it with the grace of God to a batch of college going kids. and many of them reached me after the meeting saying that it has inspired them and given them a new perspective, and many of them reached out to me with some of the personal stuff they were facing in life atm but weren't comfortable to share with someone, thanks to strength i received from my savior Jesus, for sharing my experience. this act of kindness towards myself and those kids helped me gain new found strength.
Our neighbours were out of town for the week and they had called two members of the church from Varanasi to take care of their children in the time being, they were also very kind towards us too and would often share some delicacy with us. since they were going today back to home, i decided to take them out in Ludhiana to treat them with some delicacies of Punjab. we had so much fun and thanked me for this outing, this made me feel blessed and grateful.
Spark 2023 was a transformative experience, one that helped me reconnect with a part of myself that I hadn’t realized I had locked away. Back in college, I led our musical band, took initiative, and thrived in leadership roles. But after COVID, I found myself fading into the background, simply observing, hesitant to participate or even engage with others. I withdrew into solitude, and before long, I struggled to connect socially. But through Spark, I had the chance to reflect deeply, confront my fears, and make peace with myself. It’s a program that teaches you not just to face challenges, but to embrace them as stepping stones toward a brighter future. Seeing how others in the program overcame their own obstacles inspired me to rediscover the leadership that was always within me, just waiting to be reignited. This program gave me the perfect platform to step back into the light. I owe a huge thanks to Paul, who believed in us, encouraged us at every step, and helped us reignite the spark we thought we’d lost. His unwavering guidance is a testament to the power of mentorship and perseverance. I wrote a poem during Spark called "Dusk’s Dogma," which reflects that journey. I hope Element 2024 inspires you to find and reignite your lost element, just as Spark did for me. Remember, growth comes from stepping out of the shadows and daring to lead once more. You have that power within you—ignite it!
there is a house under construction next to our residence , and the construction workers asked us for water, so we gave them lemon juice at the sight of which they were very delighted, this made us happy in return.
yesterday when i dropped my cousin at her hostel, her warden was in distress, when i asked she told me that her son had been in an minor accident an hour ago and she couldnt find any ola/uber ride at that moment, so immidieately told her that i would be very happy to help her and dropped her home to her son, miraculously despite major damage on the activa her son had only minor scratches, she thanked me heartidly and it made my day.
