MY STORIES
One day, as I was coming home from college, an elderly man approached me and asked if I had anything to eat. He mentioned that he hadn't eaten anything in the past day. I felt really sorry for him, so I took him to a nearby shop and bought him some snacks. The smile on his face made my day, and he blessed me abundantly. Hearing his blessings and the smile on his face truly made my day. As he walked away, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment. A simple act of kindness had made a big difference in someone's life. That day, I realized the power of compassion and how a small gesture can bring immense joy and hope to others.
Recently, an electrician came to our home to fix a wiring issue, and the job took longer than expected. Seeing his dedication, I offered him lunch, and the gratitude in his smile warmed my heart. He enjoyed the meal, re-energized, and completed the work with a smile. As he thanked us, the happiness on his face made my day, reminding me how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Since I used public transportation to get around, what happened on Sunday that I was waiting for the bus to arrive at the bus stop. There was just one elderly man who came to sit next to me. We started conversation while we waited for the bus because we were the only ones at the bus stop. I then questioned, "Are you alone?" and "Where are you going?" He said, "My wife passed away last year, and since I stopped working and didn't have money, my daughter-in-law didn't let me stay at home with them." He responded, "I feel very sad after hearing this. I'm going to the government hospital for a physical check-up and I don't have money for a bus ticket." I gave him five hundred rupees and accompanied him to the hospital. And after all of this, as I was leaving him at the bus stop where we meet, he said "I have nothing to give except blessings," with tears welling up in his eyes. I said that was sufficient for me. Additionally, he observed and said, "Your parents have a really nice child." That evening, the old man's comments kept playing in my head, filling me with pride about who I am. Here, the realization that sometimes-helping others also makes ourselves proud. We never know what another person is going through, so show kindness and humility to everyone you meet. Let's support one another.
Last night, I decided to go out for a bike ride. While riding, I saw an elderly uncle who appeared very tired and asked me for a lift. Although my destination was close, I chose to first drop him off at his home. After making sure he got home safely, I continued on my way, felt a sense of warmth and fulfillment from this small act of kindness.
This Sunday, I visited an old age home and felt very sad by seeing the the loneliness in the eyes of the residents. One elderly woman, a grandmother, shared her story with me and told me about the poor quality of the food and how much she missed her grandsons. seeing tears in her eyes , I offered her some homemade food and spent an hour chatting with her. As I prepared to leave, she hugged me and seeing a smile on her face really made me feel so happy. She told me that our conversation had made her day, and in that moment, I realized the profound impact a little kindness can have on others life.
This morning, as my mom was leaving to feed the cow, she encountered some work, so she asked me to take over. I went and fed the cow some chapatis. As I returned home, I reflected on how a small act of kindness could bring immense happiness. The cow’s grateful eyes and gentle demeanor filled my heart with warmth. It's incredible how such simple gestures can brighten our day and remind us of the joy in giving.
Today, I surprised my younger brother with a watch as a gift for passing his third year in computer engineering with excellent grades. He was overjoyed and grateful, and seeing his happiness made me feel incredibly proud. This small act of kindness reminded me how important it is to celebrate each other's achievements.
As my mother was not feeling well, I decided to make breakfast for my family. I woke up early, quietly entering the kitchen to prepare her favorite poha. The smile on my mother's face was priceless, and the warmth in my family's eyes made every effort worthwhile. In that moment, I realized the true joy of giving and caring for those we love.
This morning, while returning from my walk, I noticed some dogs in my street. Feeling a surge of kindness, I decided to give some biscuits to them. Their tails wagged joyfully, and their happy expressions warmed my heart. It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference in their day. The simple act of kindness not only brought them happiness but also filled me with a sense of fulfillment and joy.
On a rainy evening, I booked a cab to get home. The driver, shared how long his day had been and how he was struggling to meet his daily targets. During the ride, I listened to his stories and shared some encouraging words. At the end of the ride, I gave him a generous tip and thanked him for his service. His face lit up with gratitude, and he expressed how my kindness made his day a little easier. This simple gesture reminded me of the importance of supporting and appreciating those who work hard to serve others.
yesterday, while returning from the market, I noticed an elderly lady from my neighborhood struggling with her grocery bags. I offered to help carry the bags to her home. She was incredibly grateful and invited me in for a cup of tea. I spent some time chatting with her, learning about her fascinating life. This small act of kindness not only made her day easier but also forged a new friendship.
Yesterday, my relatives visited my home, and their daughter was with them. She was looking at my books, so I asked her about it, and she told me she loves reading. Seeing her interest, I gave her two or three books that she wanted to read. Her eyes lit up with joy, and it felt wonderful to share my love for books with her.
One rainy day, I went outside and I noticed a boy stranded because his bike ran out of petrol. Without hesitation, I offered my help and pushed his bike to the nearest petrol pump. The relief and gratitude on his face warmed my heart. This simple gesture turned a rainy day into a moment of shared kindness.A small act of kindness made both of our days better.
Wanting to add a touch of nature to my home, I decided to plant a flower in my garden. Carefully selecting a vibrant, blooming plant, I prepared a cozy spot for it in the soil. As I watered and nurtured it, the plant began to thrive, adding beauty and life to my surroundings. Watching it grow each day brought me a sense of peace and fulfillment. This small act of planting a flower not only enhanced my home but also reminded me of the joy in nurturing and caring for living things.
My Friend Ajay was feeling down because he hadn't found a job yet. Seeing his struggle, I sat with him and offered words of encouragement: "Don't worry, Ajay. Every setback is a setup for a comeback. You're talented and hardworking; the right opportunity will come. Keep your head up and stay positive." I assured him that I was there for him and that together, we would get through this challenging time. My support and belief in him helped lift his spirits and renewed his determination to keep trying. And this small act of kindness made me feel happy seeing him motivated towards his goal again.
Feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of work and life, I decided to take a step back and focus on self-care. I dedicated a weekend just for myself, indulging in activities that I loved but often neglected. I read my favorite book, went for a long walk in nature, and treated myself to a delicious homemade meal. I realized that taking time for myself wasn't selfish but necessary. By the end of the weekend, I felt rejuvenated and ready to tackle my challenges with a renewed sense of energy and positivity. This small act of kindness to myself reminded me of the importance of self-care and its impact on my well-being.
My first turning point of my life was quite inspirational because, while pursuing post-graduation, all my friends get placed in companies in various roles, and I am sitting waiting in the queue for the 1st break. One day I was sitting and thinking about why it was not happening, asking many questions. Then suddenly I thought, OK, let's see what mistakes I am making, what efforts I am lacking to make. Then I decided that in the next 3 months of my life I have to be disciplined about my actions. I have to be honest with myself and about my efforts to crack the interview. And finally, the day comes with a reward for my efforts by cracking the 1gen interview and becoming a Java developer intern. #ELEMENT2024
After joining 1gen, I got my next turning point. At the beginning of my internship, performing assigned tasks was pretty difficult for me due to the change in the environment. In college, we perform pre-solved tasks, but in company I had to deal with real life problems. But instead of panic and confusion, l try to understand the problem and think about it. Figuring out what the company wants me to learn. And suppose if some concept I don't know, I have help from my friends and teachers to teach me, so I can have a permanent solution to that problem. The 6 months of internship teaches me to look at things in different ways. It teaches me many things. So I feel the internship program is also the turning point in life. #ELEMENT2024
After successfully completing my internship, I got chosen to be a full-time Java developer. It made me secure about my future because, after that, I became independent, supported my family financially, and became more passionate about working with new technologies. And for now, this element program will be the next turning point for me. I would love to be part of this program to help my growth personally as well as professionally. #ELEMENT2024
