MY STORIES
Yesterday, a roaming vendor came to our place. He was around 65 years old and was selling bed sheets. My mother-in-law saw him and said, "See how old he is, roaming around in this heat." Looking at me, she added, "Let's purchase something from him." We bought one bed sheet, and while my mother-in-law was bargaining, I suggested we give him the full amount he was asking for. I also offered him tea or water, but with a very needy expression, he said, "Gudiya, paani rehne do. Can you please give me some old shirts? You can see the one I'm wearing is torn." I gave him two of my husband's T-shirts, which were in good condition. He was so happy, as if those shirts meant the world to him. #WeMakeAwesomeStories #1GenImpactStories..
I think we all do this daily but it feels really good to do this first thing in the morning..Keeping a bowl of water for dogs and offering food to the birds ...

I had been planning to clean up my wardrobe for a long time, and today I finally did it with the help of my maid. I gave her all my old clothes and those I don't usually wear. She has a sewing machine and will alter them for herself. I love helping her in any way I can.

Today i ordered food from Zomato, and since I live on the first floor, I usually ask the delivery person to bring it up as I can't leave Prisha alone to go downstairs. Today, when I made the request, the delivery boy told me, "Ma'am, I am handicapped and can't come up to the first floor." I took a chilled bottle of cold drink down to him, and he was very happy...
My husband had been struggling with his wristwatch for a long time, as it was working intermittently. Since it’s his favorite watch from college, I decided to get it fixed for him. He hadn’t had the time to go to the market and get it repaired. So I visited the nearby store and got it fixed before my husband came home. In the evening, he noticed that it was working fine and was pleasantly surprised.
There is an elderly lady in my neighborhood who was asking someone nearby to bring her medicines, but they refused, even though she always pays for such help. I volunteered to get the medicines for her. When she offered me money, I refused to take it and brought her the medicines anyway.
Yesterday, I ordered some daily essentials from Blinkit. Suddenly, it started raining heavily. The delivery boy contacted me, saying, "Ma'am, it's raining heavily; I will be late with the delivery." I assured him it was totally fine and to take care. When he arrived, he was drenched from the rain. I offered him water and tea and invited him to stay until the rain stopped. He had a nice chat with my father over tea and left happily once the rain stopped....
