MY STORIES
During our grocery trip to Dmart today, my mother and I noticed a father struggling to manage his lively child. The child was full of curiosity, making it challenging for the father to shop peacefully. Seeing this, I offered to help by entertaining the child with a game, giving the father a much-needed break. By the time, the parent was done, he looked much more relaxed and thanked me sincerely for the help. It was a small gesture, but I felt glad to have made a small difference in their day.
While my neighbors are on vacation, I notice their plants beginning to dry out under the summer sun. I decide to water them every day, ensuring they receive enough water and regain their vibrant colors. It feels satisfying to know I'm helping maintain their beautiful garden, ensuring it will be just as lush and healthy when they return.
Yesterday at the mall, an elderly man hurried to catch the crowded elevator, clearly anxious to make it in time. Noticing his urgency, I stepped out and let him take my place, opting to take the stairs insteadâa healthy alternative for me. As he stepped into the elevator, he gave me a grateful smile and thanked me warmly. His appreciation made me realize that in helping him, I had also benefited by choosing a healthier option. It was a mutually beneficial moment, reminding me of the positive impact of simple acts of kindness in our daily lives.
Yesterday on my way home from the Golden Temple, I noticed a tourist looking lost and confused, trying to communicate with locals who didn't understand her. I approached her and discovered she needed directions. I spoke to her, explained the route, and even walked with her part of the way. She was immensely grateful, and I felt happy knowing I had made her day a little easier.
Now that Iâve graduated, I decided to donate my textbooks to the college library. These books had been invaluable to me throughout my studies, guiding me through countless challenges. I hope they help future learners navigate their own academic journeys and find the same support and knowledge I did.
Yesterday seeing my mother exhausted from a long day of housework, I wanted to help her unwind. I suggested giving her a head massage, which she happily agreed to. As I massaged her head, she began to relax, and her stress seemed to fade away. Her gratitude was evident, and I felt content knowing I had eased her burden, even if just for a little while.
While at the market, I saw a delivery boy looking frustrated next to his bike. I approached him and learned he had run out of fuel and was anxious about his deliveries. I offered to drive him to the nearest petrol pump and back. He gratefully accepted, and we quickly went to refuel his bike. After dropping him off, he thanked me warmly, and I felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing I had helped him stay on track with his work.
I recently posted a Rakhi to my brother since we couldnât be together for the celebration. I carefully packaged it with a heartfelt note and made sure to send it promptly. I'm eagerly waiting for his call. It feels good to maintain our tradition and I hope it brings a smile to his face when he gets it. â€ïž
While exploring a new café in town, my friend and I decided to check it out. After placing our order, we noticed that the café staff was struggling to manage the orders and guests due to the rush. Wanting to help, my friend and I pitched in by assisting with carrying orders and directing guests to their tables. The staff was grateful for the extra hands, and the experience turned out to be both fun and rewarding. It felt great to support a local business during their busy start.
One of my closest friends recently went through a tough time. Recognizing her need for support, I decided to do something to lift her spirits. I planned a surprise visit. By the end of the night, she felt much better and appreciated the effort I made to cheer her up. It felt wonderful to provide comfort and support to my friend, reminding her that sheâs not alone and that she has people who care about her.
Growing up, I was more focused on my friends and not much into family. But when my family went through a financial crisis, everything changed. Watching my parents work tirelessly, sacrificing and pushing through the stress, I started to realize how much they were doing, not just for themselves, but for all of us. In fact, it was during that time that we grew closer, finding comfort in each other rather than in material things. That experience changed my perspective. My parents strength showed me that family is the real safety net in life (The image above might seem ordinary, but to me, it represents the strength and unity we discovered during that challenging period.) #ELEMENT2024
When my sister got into engineering college, I was certain that engineering wasnât for me. I had no interest in it, but my parents pushed me into non-med and eventually engineering. At first, it felt like I was living someone elseâs dream. But as time passed, I began to see things differently. I began to appreciate the challenges and skills that came with it. This shift in perspective taught me that sometimes the paths we resist lead us to unexpected growth and opportunities. My parents insistence, though difficult to accept at first, helped me uncover a side of myself I hadnât known existed. Iâm grateful to them for not listening to me đ #ELEMENT2024
Until the 6th grade, I was the shy, quiet kid who preferred to stay in the background and I avoided any situation that could push me into the spotlight. But in 7th grade, my class teacher decided to push me out of my comfort zoneâwithout asking, she signed me up for a school debate competition. I made every excuse I could think of to avoid it, but she wouldnât listen. On the day of the competition, I walked up, took a deep breathâand froze. My mind went blank. But I somehow gathered myself, and began to speak. It wasnât perfect, but I finished my speech. The experience wasnât about delivering the best performance; it was about standing up after I had fallen. That day, I realized that failure doesnât define youâhow you bounce back does. From that moment, there was no looking back. I made it a point to participate in every school and college event, leaving my stage fear behind. For that, I'll always be grateful to that teacher for pushing me. (Now that's me --- Enjoying the Spotlight đ) #ELEMENT2024
I am deeply grateful for my family, who have always supported me unconditionally. Through tough times and joyful moments. Their love, sacrifices, and belief in me keep me grounded and motivated. They remind me every day that no matter where life takes me, family is my foundation. #ELEMENT2024
I am fortunate to have friends who have stood by me through every phase of my life. They've been my biggest cheerleaders during my successes and a source of strength when I faced challenges. It's rare to find such loyal and genuine friendships, and I'm grateful for the laughs, advice, and memories we've shared. #ELEMENT2024
I'm truly thankful to all my teachers who have shaped me into the person I am today. Their guidance, encouragement, and life lessons went beyond the classroom and have had a lasting impact on my personal growth. I wouldn't be here without their support. #ELEMENT2024
Oddly enough, I'm deeply grateful for the challenges I've faced throughout life. While they were tough at the time, they pushed me beyond my comfort zone, forcing me to grow in ways I never imagined. Without these challenges, I wouldn't have learned my true strength. They've been the stepping stones that helped me evolve into a more determined and capable person. #ELEMENT2024

Growing up, I was always the quiet on -- the girl who hesitated to speak up, whether in meetings, discussions or even casual conversations. I feared being wrong, being judged. But I realized that staying silent wasnât helping me grow. So, I pushed myself to step out of my comfort zone. I started sharing my thoughts, asking questions and embracing my voice. It wasnât easy, but with every conversation and every idea shared, my confidence grew. Today, I no longer wait for permission to be heard--I own my voice. To every woman who has ever doubted herself: Your voice matters. Use it!

There was a time when I convinced myself to just push through and the things would get better, no matter how unhappy or unfulfilled I felt, it is the right thing to do. I thought quitting meant failingâ leaving something stable, even if it made me unhappy, was a mistake. But deep down, I knew. I wasnât growing. I wasnât excited. I wasnât me. Leaving my last job was terrifying. I had no backup plan, just a gut feeling that staying wasnât right. It meant stepping into uncertainty, questioning everything, and trusting myself in a way I never had before. Looking back now, I realize it was the best decision I ever made. It taught me that choosing myselfâmy happiness, my peace, my growthâis never the wrong choice. Today, I know that walking away wasnât giving upâit was making space for something better.

Couldnât make it to the gym today because of the rain, ended up helping my mom with some things around the house. It wasnât planned, but it felt good to slow down and actually be useful at home. Honestly, it felt nice. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own routines that we forget how good it feels to just be there for someone --- no big gestures, just small things that mean a lot.
Yesterday at a store, there was only one juice bottle left and just as I reached for it, someone else did too, just a second later. I paused for a moment, then smiled and handed it to them. They looked genuinely surprised, like they werenât expecting someone to give up the last one. Honestly, that expression, a mix of gratitude and disbelief, made it totally worth it. I walked away feeling oddly full, not from the juice, but from the simple joy of doing something kind, even when no one was watching
Today we ordered a pizza. When only two slices were left, I took the smaller one and gave my sister the bigger piece. She paused, blinked n then smiled like Iâd done something huge. It was just pizza, but the look on her face? Totally worth itđ And honestly, seeing her smile while enjoying that extra slice was more satisfying than the pizza itself.
Saw a new girl at the gym today, she looked nervous, clearly feeling out of place. I smiled, said hi and invited her to join our set. At first, she barely spoke. But by the end, she was smiling and by the end, she wasnât a stranger anymore. It took just a moment, but it made her whole hour better.
Yesterday at the doctorâs clinic, I was waiting for my turn when I noticed an elderly couple nearby. They looked anxious, holding a little child in their arms, their grandchild, I guessed. When my name was called, I gave up my turn. Their eyes said thank you louder than words ever could. I waited a little longer â they left a little lighter.
