Thankful for the sunny day after so many rainy days. Feels good to finally see clear skies and some warmth.
Today morning, it was raining and some construction work was going on at my house. Two labourers were working in the rain. I gave them hot tea and bun packets. They smiled and looked very happy. That small moment made me feel really good. Even a small act of kindness can bring a big smile.
Yesterday evening, while I was returning home from my walk, I saw my neighbor aunty struggling with a heavy wheat bag, nearly 20 kg. She was trying hard to lift and carry it to her house. Without thinking twice, I walked over and offered to help. I carried the bag for her all the way to her doorstep. She looked so relieved and grateful, and thanked me warmly.
Almost a week ago, something small but special happened. In my neighborhood, there is an old lady I lovingly call grandmother. She isn’t much educated and doesn’t have a phone. She told me she wanted to talk to her son who lives in Delhi. I gave her my phone and helped her make the call. When she heard her son’s voice, her face lit up with joy. After the call, she smiled at me and said, “Thank you, beta.” That moment still makes me smile.
After I passed out of graduation, I was still playing with my local football club. During one tournament, I was honoured as the top scorer and received a special jersey. It was a proud moment for me—but the jersey was a bit tight for my size. There was a junior on our team who always looked up to me. He was cheerful, always excited to play by my side. Seeing his enthusiasm, I decided to give him the jersey. When I handed it over, his eyes lit up with surprise and joy. He wore it with pride, and the happiness on his face meant more to me than any award. His smile made me feel even happier. Sometimes, giving something small means a lot.
This morning, I was heading out for football practice. As I rode along a steep road, I noticed a man hurrying, clearly trying to catch his bus. The hill made it hard for him to walk fast, and he looked worried he might miss it. Since I was going in the same direction, I offered him a lift. He smiled, hopped on, and we reached the bus stand just in time and said thank you with a big smile. It felt nice to help.
Near my house live a few stray dogs I care for. I feed them three times a day, and over time, they’ve started to feel like a part of my life. Their wagging tails and happy eyes always bring me peace. Sometimes, when I'm too busy and forget to feed them, they quietly come to my gate. They don’t bark much — they just sit there, waiting patiently, as if gently reminding me. Seeing them like that always melts my heart. It shows how animals remember kindness, and how simple care can build such a beautiful bond.

Today, after finishing my CrossFit workout, a guy approached me with a bit of urgency. He said he needed to pay ₹1000 online to someone but didn’t have any money in his bank account—only cash. He asked if I could help by transferring the amount online, and he would hand me the cash in return. Without hesitation, I agreed. I made the payment, and he gave me the cash and thanked me sincerely. It was a small gesture, but sometimes being there at the right moment can mean a lot to someone.
Yesterday evening in Mussoorie, I saw a man paddling a rickshaw uphill, struggling against the steep road. I walked over and gave it a gentle push from behind. It picked up speed, and his effort eased. He looked back, smiled, and said, “That helped more than you know.” Sometimes, even a small push can make someone’s journey lighter.

This morning, as I was heading home after my football practice, it suddenly started to rain. Just as I reached near my gate, I saw my neighbour uncle about to leave for office—caught in the rain without any cover. He looked a little confused and then said, “Oh no, I forgot my raincoat.” That’s when I remembered—I had my own raincoat in my scooty. Without a second thought, I pulled it out and offered it to him. He looked surprised for a second, then smiled and said, “Thank you, beta. You saved me today.

Today evening, two men came to fix a window in my house. After finishing their work, they packed up and got ready to leave. I knew the lane outside has two dogs that can seem a bit scary to people who aren’t familiar with them. So, without saying much, I walked along with the men to make sure they felt safe. They smiled and thanked me warmly — a small act, but it meant a lot to them. Sometimes, kindness is just about walking a few extra steps for someone.
This morning, our electricity meter fused due to a heavy load, and suddenly all the lights went out. While we were trying to figure out what to do, my friend from the neighborhood, who happens to be an electrician, noticed the issue and came over without us even asking. He quickly checked everything and fixed the problem. It reminded me that when you’re kind to others, that kindness often comes back to you when you need it the most.
This morning, I went to the shop to buy some bread for breakfast. As I was about to leave, my neighbour called out and asked if I could also bring the packet of milk she had ordered. I was happy to help and picked it up along with my things. When I returned and handed her the milk, she smiled and thanked me sincerely. It felt good to help—sometimes.
Today, I went to the laptop charger repair shop because mine wasn’t working properly. The repairman checked it and told me the wire inside was broken and couldn’t be fixed — I’d need a new one. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the same charger I needed in stock. I felt a bit stuck. Then I called my friend, hoping he might have a solution. Without hesitation, he arranged the exact charger I needed and got it for me. His kindness and quick help saved my day. It’s moments like this that remind me how valuable true friends are.
Today morning, I was making coffee for myself. Then I thought of offering it to my whole family. I made coffee for everyone, and when I gave it to them, they smiled. It felt nice to start the day with a small act of kindness.
Today morning, I woke up early and made breakfast for my family. They were surprised and smiled when they saw it. Everyone started the day in a happy mood, and it made me feel good too.
Today morning, due to painting work going on at my home, the painter forgot his brush. His house was quite far, and he didn’t have a scooty. So, I offered to go with him on my scooty to bring the brush. He smiled and thanked me. It felt good to help someone in a small way.
Today, my neighbour’s kids were watching TV. A burger ad came on, and I saw how excited they looked. I could tell they really wanted one. So, I ordered burgers from a nearby shop and surprised them. They were so happy and couldn’t stop smiling. It was a small thing, but it made their day—and mine too.
Shoutout for Shubhangini Dub! Grateful for your guidance—I've learned a lot and look forward to learning even more ahead.
Grateful for the wonderful neighbour I had—always kind, helpful, and thoughtful.
Grateful to see the sun shining after the rainy days.
